How Does Nature Inspire You? An Art Series for Kids (Ages 6-12)

Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania

Sun, Sep 23, 2012 - Sun Oct 21, 2012, 1pm - 2:45pm

Tickets: Members: $85 Non-Members: $100

This four week, fun filled series will focus on the diverse and rich array of plants at Morris Arboretum. Each week, weather permitting, we will walk in the gardens and draw from nature both grand and small. In the classroom we will paint and create collages and sculptures inspired by our investigations. We will learn about the Fibonacci series and see how this magical progression is represented in the natural world. We will identify a variety of plants and discuss why they are so important in the web of life. Each class will include exciting nature studies and fun art activities taught in a friendly and supportive environment. All supplies are provided. Come dressed for the weather.
