Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania
Mon, Oct 1, 2012 - Mon Nov 5, 2012, 7pm - 9pm
Tickets: Members: $160 Non-Members: $180
This class will introduce participants to the biology of plants, their evolution, and their importance in our lives. Six weekly sessions will cover how plants are structured, how they function, genetic regulation, classification of the plant kingdom, and ecological and environmental considerations. Little prior knowledge of biology will be assumed. This class will help prepare participants for more specific and/or advanced botany offerings at the Arboretum. This is not, however, a plant identification course.
